Oak class had a fantastic workshop at Abingdon School learning about the circulatory system. They identified ways to keep our heart healthy and carried out an investigation to see what happens to our heart rate when we change body position, using pulse monitors. Oak now know that there is 5 litres of blood in our body and the heart pumps 7000 litres of blood every day! They also used a sphygmomanometer in the workshop!
